Buying wine can be a pain if you are looking to but something other than your "usual" bottle. For me it's usually something of a crap shoot. If the bottle looks nice and the price is good, I'll give it a try--often with bad results. That was until a month ago. That's when I started using this service called snooth. It's a wine recommendation website where you rank wines that you have tasted (both the good and the bad). It then comes up with new wine recommendations based on people who share similar tastes to you. It's sort of a Amazon, or Netflix like rating service... but for wine. While I can't say it's worked 100% of the time, I have been largely happy with the wine recommendations it has come up with, and one of the recommendations is now my new favorite wine.
