If you have weeds growing in the cracks of your cement or patio, they can be hard to remove without using poisons. Due to the small area, pulling the root will often result in the plant just snapping off, only to grow back later. If you have this problem and you don't want to use poison to get rid of the weed, try dousing it in boiling hot water. A couple days of this treatment usually gets rid of the most hardy weed.
