Dyson - losing suction solution, works with building dust!

Although Dyson doesn't say you can wash out the dust collection canister and the vortex part above (which houses the lifetime filter), we washed it out thoroughly with a hand-held shower head, and then let it dry out. From almost no suction passing through this section of the vacuum cleaner, we now have a funtional Dyson again! Ours was clogged with building dust.
