Turn off keyboard backlight on Dell laptops

You can save battery life on your Dell laptop by turning off the backlight for the keyboard. To turn off the backlight right-click on the battery icon in the system tray and select Windows Mobility Center from the menu that is shown. From the Windows Mobility Center, you can then select the option to turn off the keyboard backlighting.
