Removing hard water stains from a teapot

If you have hard water or lime stains in your teapot, coffee pot, or kettle, here's quick and easy way to remove them. Pour two cups of vinegar into the pot. Put the pot on the stove and bring the vinegar to a boil. Allow it to boil for at least 10 minutes, more if the stains don't seem to be coming off. Once it's done boiling, pour out the vinegar and rinse the pot.

Be very careful when boiling the vinegar, the fumes may burn your eyes or cause breathing problems. Make sure when you are boiling vinegar, you are doing so with your stove vent running on high.
