Growing guzmanias
Guzmanias produce a beautiful flower, but they can be somewhat finicky to keep happy. When they aren't happy Guzmaina turn brown. Here are some things you can do to keep your Guzmaina happy.
Make sure the soil is acidic, add peat and make sure you do not use lime.
Keep the soil constantly moist. If possible, avoid minerals in the water.
Keep the plant in a humid environment with bright, indirect sunlight. If you do not live in a humid environment, put the plant in your bathroom when you shower a couple times a week so that it can get some extra humidity.
Do not use fertilizer.
If the leave begin to turn brown and wither, your plant needs more humidity.
