OK, right, if you're like me and like bagel sandwiches, then check out Thomas' bagelbread squares. Taste and texture like a bagel, but it is square, for better sandwichability. More surface area for luncheon meats and the like due to its squaritude (ask the ancient Greeks about the whole squared-circle thing) and just a more aesthetically pleasing sandwichy shape.
Regrettably, Thomas isn't the very best bagel out there but we can only hope that other bagel makers will follow suit (unless doing so would violate the International Bagel and Bread Intellectual Property Act of 19-ought-90).
