Slow and broken tabs in IE8

When upgrading to IE8, some people in our organization have had issues with the tabs being slow or broken. The tabs either don't work at all, or when they click on a tab it takes a really long time for the page to load in the tab.

What I've found is that the tab issues in IE8 can be resolved pretty easily.

- To start, open up a command prompt with admin privileges (see http://www.tipstrs.com/tip/1101/Admin-command-prompt-in-Vista if you don't know how to do this already).

- On the command prompt, run this command: regsvr32 actxprxy.dll

- Once the command completes, reboot the computer.

Doing this should take care of any issue with broken or slow tabs in IE8.

Just open up an administrative level command prompt and type in regsvr32 actxprxy.dll and hit Enter. Reboot your computer and your tab issue should be resolved.
