Buy gas before the weekend

If you are planning on doing driving over the weekend, make sure that you fill up your car ahead of time. Gas prices fluctuate daily and they tend to go up on the weekends when the demand is highest. If you want to make sure you get the cheapest gas, buy your gas on Thursday mornings.
