Make your own furniture polish

You can easily make your own furniture polish for wood furniture by adding one teaspoon of lemon juice to 8 ounces of vegetable oil and mixing. To use it, apply a small amount to a clean cotton cloth and rub into the wood. The oil will replenish the moisture in the wood and give it a nice glow while the lemon will leave a fresh scent.

Anyone who has seen Antiques Road Show knows the worst thing you can do to wood is to oil it. This eventually will dry out the wood and result in cracking and splitting. WAX is the thing to use. Beeswax preferably.
