Clear the print queue in Vista
I find that about half the time I try to clear a print job in Vista, it doesn't work. The job keeps on going. If you can't clear a print job from the queue in Vista, here's a trick you can try to get rid of it.
1 - In the Start Search box enter, Services.
2 - In the right-hand section, right-click on Print Spooler and select Stop from the menu.
3 - Open a Windows Explorer window and go to the C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS directory. Delete everything in that folder (http://www.tipstrs.com/tip/8386/Delete-all-in-folder-shortcut-in-Windows gives a nice trick to make that quicker).
Your print queue should then be clear.
