Safari private browsing is not private

Safari has an option for "Private Browsing" that is supposed to make your browsing private. Only one problem, it doesn't quite work. Even with the "Private Browsing" setting on, someone with access to your computer can see the sites that you've visited using the dscacheutil utility on the command line.

If you *really* want your browsing to be private, you need to flush this cache manually once you are done browsing. To do this open up a terminal window and type in this command

dscacheutil -flushcache

This will flush the cache so that people can not use the dscacheutil command to see your browsing history.
