Have documents and application open when your Mac boots up

You can customize your Mac so that when it boots up any application can be started and any document can be opened. This is doing using the System Preferences. From the System Preferences, select the Accounts icon in the System section. Once the Accounts section opens, click on the Login Items section.

You can then drag any application into this section and it will be started when your Mac boots up.

You can also drag documents like PDFs, Word files, or spreadsheets into this section and they will be opened up when you boot your Mac.
