Force IE7 to open links in new tabs
In IE7 links that are supposed to open in a new window (they have a target="_blank" attribute assigned to them) always open in a new window instead of in a new tab like in most other browsers. If you want to change this behavior so that the links open in a new tab instead of in a new window, you can configure this.
In IE7, go to Tools --> Internet Options.
From the General tab, click the Settings button in the Tabs section.
In the When a pop-up is encountered section, click the radio button next to Always open pop-ups in a new tab.
Save your changes and links that open a new window will now open in a new tab instead.
