Safari 4 breaks XCode

If you are using an older version of XCode such as 3.0, do *not* install Safari 4. If you install Safari 4 it'll kill XCode. When you try to start XCode it'll keep crashing. The only fix once this happens is to upgrade to the latest version of XCode (currently 3.1.2).
