Keys to avoiding speeding tickets
Some tips to help avoid speeding tickets
1) If you are going to speed, don't be excessive about it. Limit your speeding to 10 mph over the speed limit and under. Cops will usuallyy wait a couple extra minutes for someone going well over the speed limit. Don't be that person.
2) Speed in groups. If you are in a group of cars all going the same speed, it's less likely that anyone will get pulled over. And if they do decide to pull someone over, there is a good chance that it will not be you.
3) The converse of this is also true. If you are on the road alone and there is nobody else around, don't speed as much as you would if there were others around. It may be slim pickings for the cops, so they'll probably take anything they can get.
4) Stay out of the fast lane. If you are speeding at the same speed as another driver and one of you is in the fast lane, that person is more likely to get the ticket.
5) Find a rabbit. If someone goes zooming past you, that's your green light. Chances are if anyone is going to get pulled over, it's the car that is speeding excessively. Once a car passes you going way over the speed limit, that's when you know that it's safe for you to bump up your speed.
6) Don't drive aggresively. If you are speeding *and* tailgating, making dangerous passes, or being a general annoyance, you are far more likely to attract attention and get pulled over for speeding as a result.
7) Use a radar detector... if they are legal in your state.
