Disable the FAX function in Outlook 2007
Outlook 2007 comes with a feature that lets you use Outlook to send and receive FAXes. If you're not using this functionality (and really, who is?), you should disable as having this enabled has been known in some cases to slow down Outlook.
To disable the FAX feature in Outlook 2007, you need to go to the Control Panel and select "Add/Remove Programs". Then choose "Add/remove windows components". When you get the list of components, uncheck Fax Service to disable this functionality and protect Outlook from possible slow downs.
