Reset change oil light on Chevys

If you change your own oil you'll want to know how to reset the change oil light that comes on on the dashboard. While the method of resetting the change oil light varies based on model and make, if you have a Chevy, most (but not all) of them use the same method for resetting the change oil light. With the car off, you turn the ignition to the "ON" position (the car is still not running at this point) and then completely press the accelerator 3 times in 5 seconds. Once you do this, the light should start blinking which indicates that it's been reset. If you don't get the blinking light, keep trying cause it's actually kinda tough to press it 3 times in 5 seconds.
