Delete files immediately in Ubuntu
In Ubuntu you can updated the context menu, the one you see when you right-click on something, so that in addition to having an option to move something to the trash, you can opt to bypass the trash can and delete it immediately.
To enable this go to Main Menu, select Places and then select Home Folder.
Click the Edit, select Preferences and then click on the Behavior tab.
In the Trash section (at the bottom), check the box next to Include a Delete command that bypasses Trash.
Once you save that change when you right-click on a file you'll then see an option in the context menu called Delete and it should be right under the Move to Trash option.
