Security when sharing Google Docs

When you are sharing Google docs, be very careful about selecting the "Let people edit without signing in" option in the Privacy section. The people in this case does not refer to the people that you are inviting to share your document. It refers to any user of Google docs. There are times when you really may want this option. But in general if you are inviting specific people you should always make sure you are selecting the "Always require sign-in" option in the Privacy section.
