Improve whole house fan efficiency

If you have a whole house fan (sometimes called an attic fan) here's an easy trick to improve the efficiency of your fan. Use spray foam insulation all around the frame where the whole house fan meets the rafters. This will improve the seal and improve the airflow efficiency resulting in more air being draw into the fan.
