If you are going to be traveling to Las Vegas, make sure you bring some Visine. The air in Las Vegas is very, very dry, this will dry out your eyes. In addition, a *lot* of people in Vegas smoke. When you combine the smoke with the dry air, the result is some very dry, very itchy, very red eyes. You can get Visine in any hotel in Vegas, but it'll cost more than double what you can be it for at home... so make sure you bring your own Visine to Vegas, you'll be glad you did.
