Playing .mkv and .mka files
If you've come across a .mkv (video) or .mka (audio) file, you may have a hard time figuring out what players can handle this type of content. The easy answer is the VLC player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) which works on both Windows and Macs. With VLC installed, you can run it and go to Media > Open File... and select your .mkv or .mka file and you'll be in business
