Breaking in new leather boots and ice skates

If you have a new pair of heavy leather boots, breaking them in can be a painful and long process. The same is true for new ice skates. If you want to shorten the process, I've used this trick many times with much success. Find a jacuzzi, put on your boots or skates, and wear them in the jacuzzi for a good half an hour or so. When you get out of the jacuzzi, continue wearing them for another half hour. Then take of the boots or skates and allow them to air dry. The drying will probably take several days, but do not use heat to speed up the process.

I've done this. It does actually work. I wouldn't use it on anything with "nice" leather, but for my leather lumberjack boots, this works great.
