remove store arrows in iTunes
There's already a tip that describes how to change the behavior of the arrows next to songs and albums in iTunes on a Mac so that clicking on them no longer takes you to the iTunes store: http://www.tipstrs.com/tip/1174/Changing-arrow-behavior-in-iTunes. But what if you are on Windows? If you want to get rid of the arrows in the Windows version of iTunes, here are the steps to take:
1 - You're going to need to edit the iTunesPrefs.xml file, so your first job is to find it. Probably the easiest way to find it is by going to Start -> Search and just searching for the file by now. Once you find the file, open it in your favorite editor.
2 - Find the following lines in the file:
3 - Below these lines, add the following:
Save the file and then restart iTunes. The arrows to take you to the iTunes music store should be gone.
