Add facebook IM to pidgin
While Pidgin supports a lot of IM clients and protocols, it does not support the Facebook IM. But there's a plug-in you can add to Pidgin that makes it able to send and receive IMs from your Facebook account.
Go to the plugin page at http://code.google.com/p/pidgin-facebookchat/ and click the download exe file. It'll install the plug-in to Pidgin automatically, all you have to do is click a couple buttons to let them know it's okay. After the install, you need to restart Pidgin. And when you restart it you'll be able to use Facebook IM right in Pidgin.
