Keep websites from disabling right-click menus

There are many websites out there that try to disable the use of the right-click menu on web pages in a misguided attempt to protect their content. There are also a lot of tricks out there for getting around the disabling of the right-click menus. Most of these tricks involve typing some Javascript directly into the address bar of the browser to disable the javascript code that keeps the menu from being shown.

While this works, it's hard to remember the Javascript to be entered and you have to enter it manually. There's a *much* easier way to keep the right-click menus from being disabled and that's by configuring your browser to disallow this. This way you never need to take any action, it just happens automatically.

Firefox 3 allows you to do this by going to the "Preferences". Select the "Content" tab and then press the "Advanced..." button to the right of "Enable Javascript". In the panel that is shown, there is a checkbox next to "Disable or replace context menus". If you uncheck this box and then press the "OK" button Firefox will not allow Javascript to disable or change the right-click menu, so you'll never have to deal with websites that attempt to change or limit these menus.
