Capturing screen shots in Windows VistaWindows Vista still allows you to capture screen shots using the 'Prt Scr' button to capture the entire screen. But new to Vista is a far more powerful option called the Snipping Tool. The Snipping Tool allows you to capture images of the entire screen, a particular window, a given rectangle, and even a free-hand shape. It even allows you to modify the captured image by drawing on it directly and highlighting areas of the image. Once you are done, it also allows you to save the image in a variety of formats. All in all, a vast improvement over the old 'Prt Scr' approach.
To use the Snipping Tool to capture screen shots, go to the Start menu and select the Snipping Tool under Programs -> Accessories or just go to the search box and type Snipping Tool.
