If you are coming to Colorado and you know that ahead of time, consider buying a 4-pass. These are things offered by most resorts in the late summer and early fall, before they open. You can't get them once the resort is open. You buy a pass that's good for four days. You usually save 50% off the usual price, so it's a great deal. Many resorts let you buy them on-line, so if you know you are going to be coming, consider getting one.
