Screen zoom in Windows 7

Windows 7 (finally) has built-in zoom feature for the screen. Hold down the "Windows" key and you can then use the "+" key to zoom in and the "-" key to zoom out. It's not quite as convenient as using the scroll wheel on the Mac, but it's a step in the right direction.

Wow. I can't remember the last time anybody did as poor a job as Microsoft did on this feature.

In MacOSX the entire screen zooms in and you get a magnified view that I don't think could be any better.

Windows 7 opens up a new fixed size window that can be used for very little else than reading text. Major fail.

To be fair though, the the window does have two different fixed sizes... whatever good that will do.

I'm running Windows 7, and it zooms the full screen just as you describe on the Mac. When you press the "Windows" key and press "+" you'll see a magnifying glass on the screen, click this and you'll get a floating toolbar. In the toolbar you'll see a 'Views' drop down list simply select 'Full Screen'.
