If your dog or cat has diarrhea or constipation, there is an easy cure. Canned pumpkin. Just add 1 teaspoon to 2 tablespoons (depending on the size of your dog or cat) of canned pumpkin to your pet's food. Canned pumpkin is very high in coarse fiber. If your pet is constipated, the fiber in the pumpkin will get them pooping again in no time. If they have diarrhea, that same pumpkin fiber will absorb water in their digestive system and relieve their symptoms.

The key is to use canned pumpkin puree. Not filling for pumpkin pies. You want the puree of pumpkin with no spices or sugars added.
