Organize your G1 phone home screen
Unlike the iPhone, the G1 phone lets you create folders on your home screen to better organize the applications and shortcuts on your home screen. To create a new folder, you hit the Menu button and choose Add -> Shortcuts -> Folder and a new folder will appear on your home screen.
To give the folder a name or edit the existing folder name, open the keyboard then touch and hold the title bar of the folder. This will open a dialog which will allow you to edit the name. Make sure to hit OK when you are done editing.
To put applications or shortcuts into a folder touch and hold the desired icon until it magnifies and it can be moved. Then just move it into the folder.
Once your folder is organized you can see the stuff in it by touching the folder once. To close the folder and get back to your home screen touch the folder's title bar once.
Organizing your G1 phone's home screen with folders makes it a lot easier to find all of your stuff quickly.
