Make IRA contributions to lower your taxes
It's still not too late to lower your tax bill for 2008. If you have not yet exceeded your maximum deduction for your retirement contributions, you can continue to make contributions into your IRA account (or even open a new account) right up until April 15, 2009, and have those contributions be deductible in the previous (2008) tax year.
