Driving screws easier
If you are driving screws into very hard wood and the screws are not going in easily, one trick is to put some Chapstick or other lip balm onto the screw threads, mostly near the tip of the screw, before driving the screw. This will make it go in easier. Not only does this make the screws go in easier, it also reduces the chances of snapping a screw off in the hole.
