Automatically expand tiny URLs in Firefox
There are bunch of web services that create tiny URLs for linking purposes. While these are nice and clean looking, they do present a web safety issue because now you have to click on the link before you know where the link is taking you. If you're at work or concerned about malware there are some sites you'd certainly want to stay away from. But with the tiny URLs you don't know this ahead of time.
For Firefox users, you can fix this using the add-on found at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9549. It automatically replaces shortened URLs with their final destination. That way you know where you are being taken before you click on the link.
