Resetting a Archos 705
If your Archos 705 gets hung, there are two levels of resetting that you can use to bring it back to life.
The more gentle reset is to hold down the power button for 15 seconds.
If the gentle reset doesn't work, it's time for the hard reset. The hard reset will result in losing any preferences that have been set. But if your Archos 705 is wedged, it'll bring it back to life. To perform this reset on your Archos 705 you need to remove the battery. Behind where the battery sits is a little hole. Press the end of a paper clip into the hole to hit the hard reset button that sits in there.
