Backup before making registry changes

Lots of hacks that let you customize Windows rely on making changes to the registry through the regedit tool. Any time you are going to edit the registry you should always back it up first. While editing the registry is not in itself dangerous, if you do something unintended, this can cause serious problems on your computer. Having a back-up allows you to undo your changes and get your computer working again. Erunt is a free backup tool for the registry. It can be downloaded from http://www.majorgeeks.com/download1267.html.
