It's really unbelievable that after a year and a half, there is still no copy-and-paste functionality for the iPhone. I love the iPhone. But it's the height of arrogance to insist that copy-and-paste are not needed. Yeah, for many people it's not, but there are petitions out there with 1000's of names on them begging Apple to give the iPhone copy-and-paste functionality. C'mon already!

In the mean time, users are left with solutions that try to work around the roadblocks thrown up by Apple. The latest of these is the best by far, it's called pastebud (http://pastebud.com/). While it's still can't give you "true" copy-and-paste, it does allow you to copy-and-paste from Safari and Mail, and to paste between these applications. It works on the iPhone and on the iPod Touch.

They've also managed to do this in a way that does not require your iPhone to be jailbroken. And, this is the best part, it's not an actual application on the iPhone; it's done using bookmarklets so they are able to do this without requiring Apple's blessing to get on the App Store.
