A good way to save energy is to make sure you turn off your computer every night. But some nights that's hard to do because you have a job running on your computer; it's doing a backup or performing some other sort of processing. In those cases you'd like to turn off your computer when it's done, but you don't want to sit around and wait for it.

AllOff solves this problem. You can set it up so that when certain conditions are met, lack of keyboard/mouse input, or lack of CPU activity, it will automatically shut off your computer using a method you specify (shutdown, hibernate, etc).
