Keeping tweets private

Every time you send a tweet on Twitter it shows up on the public timeline which can be seen by anyone. If you're cool with this, great. If not you can adjust your settings so that only people who follow you can see your Twitter tweets.

To set this go to "Settings" (upper right part of page) and then select the "Account" tab if you are not already there. You'll see a setting called "Protect my updates". Check the box next to this and then click on the "Save" button. After this, your tweets will only be visible to people who are following you.
