removing plugs from stock
When you are cutting wood plugs from stock material you'll need to pop the plugs out after they are cut. This is best done using a small flat screwdriver or a small wood chisel. Put it in the hole around the plug and you can lever it against the plug to pop the plug out. The key is to make sure that you pop it out with the grain of the wood, not against the grain. If you go against the grain you end up with a much shorter plug. To get good long plugs, pop them out with the grain.
