security on the blackberry storm
The blackberry storm can be configured to clean information held in the temporary memory cache when certain events take place. The temporary memory cache contains information for the key store browser, unencrypted data from email messages, LDAP authentication passwords,
and data from certificate and key searches. Stuff you don't want other people getting their hands.
When you turn on memory, you can have the memory cleaned when the following events take place: you holster your phone, you don't use your phone for a specified period of time, you synchronize, you change the time or the time zone, you lock your phone.
To turn on memory cleaning go to device options then select Security Options and click on Memory Cleaning. Change the Status field to Enabled and then hit the Menu key and select Save.
While in the Memory Cleaning section you can also turn on/off specific cleaning events like for example if you don't want cleaning of the memory to occur when you holster your phone.
