Turn off download history in Firefox

By default, Firefox keeps track of all the files that you download. Some folks have posited that keeping this history slows down the start-up time of Firefox.

It's easy to turn this history off. Just go to Preferences and select the Privacy tab. On that tab, uncheck the box labeled "Remember what I've downloaded."
