Find people online for free with a search engine
1. Go to your favorite search engine. Type the name of the person whose information you are looking for in the search box.
2. Go to each website and see what you can find there.
3. If the person do not have a personal website, other websites may contain his information that he chose to provide online. If he has written articles for online publication, your search may lead to article directories he is a member of, for instance.
4. If the person you are looking for is not-so-famous online, you may want to include advance search techniques in your search terms to get better results. One way of doing this is to enclose his name in double quotes, such as "John Doe".
5. If you have an idea about his last known address, it also helps if you will include that. "John Doe" Arizona may lead you to something better than just typing in his name in the search box.
6. Do you know him as someone who would use an alias or a nickname? If you know his nickname, it may be one thing that's needed to find him online. Just type in his name, include his alias, and/or his last known address.
7. If you know that the person will likely to appear in a particular website, you can use the site:url operator in your search terms, where url is the web address of the site you are searching him at.
