Fixing XBOX 360 problems

If you get an error code on your XBOX 360, one this to try is resetting your console. While there are some issues, like hardware failures, that will never be fixed by this, many error codes on the XBOX 360 can be fixed by going through the reset procedure. Here's how to reset your XBOX 360.

- Fromt the main menu, select system
- Choose memory
- On the game controller, press the Y button
- On the game controller, press X, X, the Left Bumper, the Right Bumper, X, X
- At this point you should see a message on the screen that says, Do you want to perform maintenance on your XBOX 360 storage devices?
- Confirm the reset by select Yes

Note that resetting your XBOX 360 console will clear any game updates. But if your console is completely locked up, losing these updates may be worth having your console working again.
