Taking screen shots in Linux

To take screen shots on a Linux box consider using the GScrot app. It allows you to take screenshots of your entire screen or specific areas. It lets you set time delays, it gives you control of where the screenshots are saved and in what format and it allows you to directly edit your screen shots if you want to mark them up to point out certain things. And it's free.
