Change desktop icons on the Mac
On the Mac it is really easy to change the icons that are used to display elements on the desktop. Here's how to do it:
1 - Find the image that you want to use for a desktop element using the Finder and copy it to the clipboard (either Control + C, or Edit -> Copy from the menus)
2 - Find the element on the desktop who's icon you want to change and right click on it, then select Get Info.
3 - In the info pane that is brought up, click on the image of the desktop element in the upper right-hand corner of the pane. Then hit Control + V to paste the copied image in.
That's all there is to it, your icon has been changed.
