Keep your Facebook profile from showing up in search engines
To increase your privacy and security on Facebook, you can configure your settings so that search engines do not index your Facebook page.
- From Facebook, go to Settings -> Privacy Settings (top right part of the page).
- Click on the Search link.
- Uncheck the box next to Create a public search listing for me and submit it for search engine indexing
- Press the Save Changes button
You are now safe from having your Facebook profile showing up in search engine results.
