Getting rid of cooking odors

There are two ways to get rid of cooking orders from burnt food.

1 - Don't let them set into your kitchen in the first place. While sometimes you don't realize food is burnt until it's too late, you can still take action to keep the odor from setting into your kitchen by using barbecue charcoal briquettes. Set some briquettes near the source of the burn and it will help absorb the smell and keep it from setting in your kitchen.

2 - Even if you use the briquettes, you'll probably end up with some burnt food smell. If it's not going away quick enough for your liking put two cups of water, 1/2 cup of lemon juice, and some clove sticks in a pot on the stove. Boil this mixture on your stove for half an hour or so and it'll do a really good job of covering up any lingering odors.
