Create your own keyboard shortcuts on the Mac
Most people don't know this, but you can create your own keyboard shortcuts for just about every application on your Mac if you are using OS X. This is really nice if you are using an obscure command repeatedly that the application programs did not think would need it's own shortcut.
To create your own keyboard shortcuts, do this...
- Open the "System Preference" panel and select "Keyboard & Mouse"
- Click on the "Keyboard Shortcuts" button
- About 2/3rds of the way down, you'll see a plus sign (+) button. Click it.
- This will pop up a new window where you can select the application you want to create the shortcut for, as well as the command and keyboard combination that results in the shortcut.
